Enagic Water Ionizer and Jupiter Water Ionizer Comparison

Enagic, the multi level marketing company, started selling Kangen water ionizers in the United States in 2005. The claims made by Enagic seemed promising at first, however when the Enagic units where put to the test it became clear: The Enagic water ionizers cost 2-3 times as much as a Jupiter Melody and almost 4-6 times as much as the Jupiter Technos while producing the close to the same quality of water in both pH and ORP measured readings. The wattage on the LevelLuk is much higher than the Jupiter models. As a result, one would conclude that the LevelLuk, with it's high energy consumption, would make stronger pH water, faster. However, when we tested the LevelLuk with a laboratory grade Oakton pH/ORP meter, the small difference in measurement doesn't warrant the large increase in cost, as well as, the increased long term cost of it's consumable electricity. The reason for the difference? The mesh plate technology used by the Jupiter models, offers a highly conductive surface area, thereby requiring less energy to operate. The actual surface area of the mesh plates, with it's peaks and valleys, is much greater, even though the Leveluk's smooth plates are big and bulky. In fact most consumer water ionizers when tested, will match the water quality as produced by even the most expensive Enagic units.

The Tyent water ionizer has been found to be created with reassembled parts manufactured by unknown original equipment manufacturers. The Tyent water ionizers are a recent 2008 import, yet to be proven in the US market.

• Negative ORP numbers - a direct measurement of antioxidant value for example: -500 shows much more antioxidant value than -300 while positive numbers show no antioxidant value at all, but show the presence of free radicals; the higher the number, the more free radicals. The negative values achieved are dependent on both the machine you use and the quality of your tap water.

LeveLuk SD501 is Enagic’s top of the line model. It boasts 7 ionizing chambers, producing water with the greatest negative ORP numbers and is fully automatic. It is larger than the DX and DXII units, yet still very compact. Because of the greater negative ORP, this unit is especially helpful for individuals who have chronic or serious health issues.
