Unlike well-known Electro-Chemical Methodology, the process of Electro-Chemical Activation begins with treatment of the initial substances with a Diluted Aqua-Saline Solution [Brine] in the Feed Water. The ECP End-Products are not concentrated chemical substances, but Activated Anolyte and Catholyte Solutions as Low-Mineralized Liquids in a metastable [activated] state with increased chemical activity. Electro-Chemically Activated Solutions are produced through Unipolar Electro-Chemical Exposure in which micro-volumes of liquid are passed through the High Voltage Electrical Field of a Double Electric Layer near the surface of the electrodes. Such stated conditions of producing Activated Solutions can only be realized through the use of Special Diaphragmatic Cells which are the key elements of the ECP system. Diaphragmatic Cell
The Envirolyte Electro-Chemical Process [ECP] method of producing anolyte for water & sewage treatment does not use the traditional chemical system. The Envirolyte technology is not comparable with chlorination in terms of Kg of chlorine per Hour/Day since Anolyte is much more powerful than chlorine with much less active chlorine needed. The Envirolyte technology largely overcomes health, safety & environmental pollution concerns that are associated with traditional chemical treatment Systems. An Electrolytic Reactor is used to alter water in producing a powerful Micro-Biocide, a Catalyst, a Detergent, a Redox Agent and many other types of Activated Water with diverse applications. Activated Water is produced by passing a Diluted Saline Solution through an Electrolytic Reactor which changes the waterÕs molecular structure and transfers electrical energy to the created solutions of Anolyte [Acidic Oxidant] & Catholyte [Alkaline Anti-Oxidant]. Since no man-made chemicals are introduced, both solutions are safe for man and environment, with the Activated Solutions reverting back to ordinary water. When Direct Current [DC] electricity flows through water a chemical reaction takes place on the electrodes, with a change in the chemical composition of the water near the Anode and Cathode. The design of the Electrolytic Reactor generates a Uniform High-Intensity DC Electrical Field through which the Feed Water must pass. The objective is to subject the entire volume of Feed Water to the electrical field at the highest possible intensity with maximum chemical exposure and minimum heat emission. The water activation that occurs at the Anode & Cathode terminals results in the creation of solutions whose properties including pH, Oxidation Reduction Potential [ORP] and physical form lie outside the range that can be achieved by conventional chemical means. The design engineering of the Electrolytic Reactor is difficult since the maximum intensity of the Electro-Physical Effect only occurs in close proximity to the electrode surface in an Electric Double Layer [EDL] where the electric field intensity reaches hundreds of thousands of Volts per Centimeter. Since the EDL is very thin Ð about 0.1mm in weak solutions and much thinner in concentrated solutions Ð the Electrolytic Reactor must be designed to insure maximum treatment of the micro-volumes of water as they pass in close proximity to the Anode and Cathode. The electrochemical activation causes water to transform into a metastable (activated) state characterized by unusual values of Chemical & Physical Properties Ð including the Oxidation Reduction Potential [ORP] connected with the activity of electrons in water, Electrical Conductivity, pH, Other Parameters & Properties. 3 4 Uses of Electro-Chemically Activated SolutionsElectroplating:
