Carbon Filter Replacements

All Athena water ionizers come with a .1 micron filter inside. Over time the carbon filter will reach the end of it's lifespan, needing replacement. Replacement filters for Jupiter water ionizers install easily. The .1 micron cabon filter is designed for most municlpal water supply systems. The .01micron carbon filter is designed for well water and untreated water sources.

Carbon Filter Replacements - Multi Stage Protection

The Athena's sediment filter in position 1 is designed to process approximately 500 gallons of treated municipal water. The BioStone filter in position 2 is designed to process approximately 1000 gallons of treated municipal water. Water being different everywhere, this is a general statement.

There is a paddle wheel in the machine that all the water flows through. Once the graphic display is full, or the digital display for position 1 (the sediment filter) reaches 9999, approximately 400 gallons of water has flowed through the machine. Once the counter has reached 9999 for position 2 (the BioStone filter), approximately 800 gallons of water has flowed through the machine.

It is recommended that you change each filter when the counter reaches 9999. If you notice a reduction in flow, or a funny taste or odor before this, your filters may need to be replaced before this stage. To reset the counters, with power on, and the water not flowing, hold the button down for the position indicated on the LED until it resets to zero, it can take up to ten seconds to reset.
